Soak It Up! Launch Party

Come join the Philadelphia Water Department, the US Environmental Protection Agency, and the Community Design Collaborative for the launch of Infill Philadelphia: Soak It Up!
Soak It Up! is a design challenge for interdisciplinary design teams to originate and design prototypes for stormwater infrastructure focusing on retrofitting existing buildings and sites. This competition will explore how green stormwater infrastructure – like rain barrels, green roofs, and rain gardens can Soak Up stormwater while making communities and cities more engaging, vital, and attractive places to live and work.
Come see PWD Commissioner Howard Neukreg, and EPA Administrator for Region III, Shawn Garvin and meet other passionate environmental and urban innovators. The Launch Party will kick off the competition this Thursday, October 4th, from 6:00 to 8:00pm at the PhiladelphiaCenter for Architecture, at 1216 Arch Street.
