Congratulations John Elfrey, MOTU Director of Operations and Dilworth Award Winner!

Those of us at the Mayor’s Office of Transportation and Utilities see John Elfrey’s dedication to the City every day. We get to see him make sure Philadelphia’s streets are plowed properly, or that the operations of a variety of stakeholders are coordinated on the busiest of game days. We are thrilled to learn that On March 11, 2013, Mayor Michael Nutter recognized John Elfrey as the 2013 Richardson Dilworth Award winner and thanked him for his outstanding service to the City of Philadelphia over the last 28 years.
The award program was established in 2011 to recognize the contributions of an outstanding public employee whose work performance embodies excellence in public service. Before joining the Office of Transportation & Utilities, John served as the Acting Commissioner for License & Inspections. He has also worked in both the Revenue and Streets Departments, as well as the Managing Director’s Office.
